Floral Shop Brand Concept + Identity
A local floral shop came in with a clear sense of what they wanted but not yet a visual language for it: minimalist, elegant, and rooted in meaning. The brief pointed to bonsai as a reference, and from there, the direction focused on what bonsai actually represents rather than just what it looks like.

Bonsai carries symbolism of harmony, health, and prosperity, which maps naturally onto what a boutique floral business wants people to feel when they walk in. I started with hand sketches inspired by Japanese Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement as intentional composition rather than decoration. Those sketches were refined in Procreate and eventually developed into a full logo system in Adobe Illustrator, clean and minimal yet with something considered beneath the surface.

The final identity tried to hold two things at once: simplicity on the surface and depth if you look for it. Which is, when you think about it, exactly what a well-tended bonsai does.
